The Bernards High School Band holds its annual citrus fruit sale to help students raise the funds necessary to represent Bernards High School in a command musical performance at Walt Disney World.

In the spring of 2020, the BHS Instrumental Music Department will take approximately 80 student musicians to Disneyland in Anaheim, California.  The BHS musicians will perform in front of 20,000 spectators in the Disney Parade along with other exciting performances at Disneyland. While students stay on site and have some leisure time in the Amusement park, most of their time is dedicated to the rehearsals and truly magical performances, giving them memories that will last a lifetime. Traditionally, the band takes this trip every other year and each student usually gets a chance to participate in 2 of these performances during their High School career.

Since each student is responsible for paying for their own transportation, lodging and meals, the Annual Citrus Sale is how students raise the money to help offset, and in some cases, fully fund the individual costs for the trip. Students, who sell more, raise more funds to offset their individual costs. A small portion of the proceeds is used to help fund students who may need financial assistance.
